Scotiabank is offering a GBM Trade Floor Technology Consultant Internship/Co-op for Summer 2027 in Toronto, Ontario. The term is 12 or 16 months with a 37.5 hour work week.

The role focuses on providing technical consulting and support for trade floor issues, deploying cutting-edge trading tech, and supporting a range of devices and internal tools. You will gain exposure to capital markets, engage in data analytics projects, and participate in ongoing training and mentorship.

• Contribute to projects including new tech initiatives, data analysis, and analytics.
• May perform in-house web tool development for trade floor optimization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• As a Trade Floor Technology Consultant, you will provide responsive technical consulting and support for solving computer and related technology issues on Scotiabank’s trade floor. As part of the Global Banking & Markets , Trade Floor Support & Automationteam, you will:
• Analyze issues and then resolve, elevate or redirect such issues to the appropriate channels.
• Implement leading-edge trading technologies used on the trade floor such as Bloomberg to constantly improve trade floor capabilities.
• Be responsible for handling and configuring a wide variety of mobile devices, such as laptops, iPhones, and tablets.
• Work on a variety of projects including new technology initiatives, data analysis, and analytics.
• May also take on programming tasks such as development of in-house web-based tools for optimization of trade floor processes.
