About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team atNelson Hospital. This is a permanent position, with flexibility between 0.8 and1.0 FTE, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to service developmentand clinical leadership in a supportive, collegial environment.
You will be part of a dynamic team of medical professionals, working in ateaching hospital where you’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior staff andhelp shape the future of gastroenterology services in the region.
You will bring
- FRACP or equivalent, with vocational registration in New Zealand
- Specialist accreditation in gastroenterology (NZ GastroenterologySociety-recognised)
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Training in General Internal Medicine (preferred)- Ability to work independently in a provincial hospital setting
Your responsibilities will include supporting general medical colleagues,conducting outpatient gastroenterology clinics, and performing endoscopy. Astrong interest in service improvement and leadership is highly valued.
