The Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Mill in Saskatchewan is seeking a Gas Fitter. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Gasfitter / Mechanic troubleshoots, plans, schedules, and maintains heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in the mill.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heating and HVAC systems.
2. Plan and schedule air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance for HVAC service providers.
3. Coordinate maintenance with Supply Chain and Operations personnel.
4. Investigate new technologies with vendors.
5. Troubleshoot operational and maintenance issues with mill personnel.
6. Optimize equipment performance in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.
7. Develop and implement reliability strategies for equipment.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Journeyperson (Red Seal) ticket.
• Saskatchewan General Gas Fitting license or eligibility to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Planning and scheduling experience with SAP or similar software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning journeyperson ticket.

Overtime may be required for emergencies and scheduled outages. Routine shift coverage is shared among team members.

Preference will be given to qualified local and regional Saskatchewan applicants.
