Job summary

XPRESS HVAC SERVICES INC. is seeking a Gas Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of gas lines and appliances at customer sites in Brampton, Ontario.

The role requires on-site work at multiple locations and a valid gas fitter certification where applicable. You will assess drawings, prepare quotes, and ensure safety standards while communicating with clients about maintenance and system functionality.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of gas technician experience.
• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• Gas fitter certification or licença may be required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark reference points for gas line installations.
• Install and maintain meters, regulators, and gas lines between unit and meter.
• Prepare tenders and quotations.
• Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
• Advise clients on standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.
• Study drawings to determine installation layout and materials required.
• Test and adjust controls and check pipes for gas leaks with detectors.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Test and replace defective equipment or components.
