Title of position: Gas Station Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Gas Station Manager to oversee the daily operations of our gas station. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for operational efficiency, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

As a Gas Station Manager, you need to be able to perform the following job duties:

  • Plan, direct and evaluate the operation of a gas station, including retail sales, fuel inventory, and site security.
  • Manage, train, and schedule staff, while ensuring efficient operations.
  • Handle payroll submissions.
  • Analyze market research and sales data to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders with vendors, and manage product pricing policies.
  • Develop and manage budgets, authorize expenditures, and track financial trends.
  • Evaluate, improve and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, and respond to customer requests and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, development and retention of staff, and addressing staff issues.
  • Implement, maintain and review store security systems and measures, including regular inspections of fuel tanks and pumps.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports for the retailer and district manager, including fuel reports and vendor invoices.

Terms of employment:

  • This is a full-time position for at least 2 years and at least 30 hours per week.
  • Wage: $33.65 to $36 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: not applicable.
  • Location of work: 10550 Hwy 97N, Lake Country, BC V4V 1V3.

Skills/education requirements:

  • Completion of high school is required.
  • Completion of a university degree or college diploma is required, whereby preference is given to education in business administration, economics or another field related to the industry.
  • Several years of related experience at increasing levels of responsibility, including supervisory experience, are required. Preference will be given to those with experience as a gas station manager.
  • Preference will also be given to those with advanced computer skills and strong communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude towards working hours, including Saturday, Sunday and evenings/nights, is expected.
