Job description

We’re hiring a Gas Compression Technician for the Dawson Creek / South Peace area.
The wage is $58.96 per hour plus applicable overtime and shift premiums.
Work hours are Monday to Friday, day shift on a 5/2 schedule.
Residency in Dawson Creek or South Peace is required.
You’ll be working mostly with CAT G3600 engines, general machinery, and construction equipment.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair Caterpillar and other heavy mechanical equipment on-site
Perform field troubleshooting, overhauls, and maintenance for natural gas compression units
Interface directly with customers and support teams to ensure top-tier service delivery
Operate within safety protocols and site access requirements
Provide technical support in collaboration with product, sales, and service teams
Document work using Service Information Systems, Electronic Technician, and Salesforce tools

Qualifications
Certified Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal preferred)
5+ years of CAT equipment repair experience (other OEMs considered)
Strong diagnostic, electronic systems, and documentation skills
Experience working with compression packages, gensets, and power systems is an asset
Self-starter with strong organizational and customer service focus
Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
Clean driver's abstract
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol & fitness screening for customer site access
Candidates must reside in the Dawson Creek or South Peace region
