Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Gas Compression Technician for field service in Grande Prairie, AB. The role targets Journeypersons (HET, Millwright, or Automotive Tech) with 2+ years of gas compression experience to diagnose, repair, and overhaul large natural gas engines.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification required (HET, Millwright or Automotive Technician).
• Minimum 2+ years gas compression experience (Gemini, Ariel, Waukesha, etc.).
• Experience with large engines is a strong asset.
• Previous field/service truck experience required.
• Open to field work and rotational schedules.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and operational failures on gas compression engines.
• Troubleshoot no-start conditions, surging, RPM fluctuations, leaks, and performance issues.
• Perform failure analysis and identify root causes.
• Complete major overhauls and rebuilds on large natural gas engines.
• Replace and repair engine components and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Grande Prairie and surrounding regions.
• Complete service documentation and reporting.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams.
• Operate a fully tooled company service truck.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures.

Gas Compression Technician Highlights:

Hours & Wage:

• Full-Time | Field Service | Grande Prairie, AB
• $54.00-$60.00/hour
• Field premium, shift premium, per diem, and overtime available
• Rotational schedules: 5x2, 7x7, or 14x14
• Primarily 12-hour day shifts with consistent overtime opportunities
