Position Overview:

You will be part of our gardening/landscaping team, maintaining interior tropical plants and exterior grounds at our corporate head office. Under the supervision of the Head Gardener, you will assist in landscaping and maintenance tasks. This is a 1-year contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain exterior plants, shrubs, trees, and lawns, including planting, watering, fertilizing, trimming, edging, and mowing.
  • Perform interior tropical plant maintenance, watering, grooming, pest management, and plant identification.
  • Safely operate grounds equipment such as lawn tractors, mowers, hedge trimmers, and sprinkler systems.
  • Control weeds using mechanical and chemical methods.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
  • Keep tools and work areas clean and safe, including outdoor cleaning and litter collection.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Remove snow and ice from entrances, walkways, and parking lots during winter.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Horticultural training or experience.
  • Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment.
  • Physical capability for heavy physical work, including climbing and lifting.
  • Strong work ethic and responsibility.

Safety gear and training will be provided.
