Garbage Truck Driver (Crane)

Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Garbage Truck Driver (Crane) to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. We are looking for a safety-inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

The Garbage Truck Driver (Crane) operates an underground collection bag/container using a 5-ton crane with a remote control and is responsible for waste and recycling collection services in various commercial sites to ensure that materials are transported and disposed of appropriately at designated transfer stations or landfills. This job is very physical and requires working outside in all weather conditions.

COMPETITIVE HOURLY RATE & INCENTIVES:

• Full-time, with benefits
• $32.36/hour (90% of wage for first 6 months)
• Monday to Friday, based on a 10-hour day
• Start times vary from midnight to 5 am
• Benefits and RRSPs as per CBA

REQUIREMENTS:

• Class 3 driver’s license (newly licensed drivers welcome to apply)
• Clean CVOR and Abstract
• Front Load Driving experience is an asset
• 2-3 years of Class 3 driving experience preferred
