The Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Rural Economic Development Advisor to expand outreach across the Kittiwake Coast, focusing on membership development and collaborating with municipalities on economic opportunities and community social concerns. The Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce is looking to hire a Rural Economic Development Advisor to do additional outreach to our members throughout the Kittiwake Coast, including membership development, working with municipalities on economic development opportunities and community social concerns. The successful applicant would spend significant time on the road working with businesses and stakeholders in person but be based out of our Gander office. This is a JCP job opportunity, open to all EI-Eligible candidates, starting on September 21.

Key responsibilities

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 30 weeks

Pay: $17.00-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week

• This position is funded through a JCP grant. Any candidate must either be on Employment Insurance, or eligible for Employment insurance. Are you currently on EI, or are you EI Eligible?
