Gaming Machine Attendant - Premier Host | Part-time | SkyCity Hamilton

Do you love working within a busy and vibrant environment? Do you enjoy spending your day talking and helping people? We are currently recruiting for full-time customer service superstars to join this awesome team!

SkyCity Hamilton is the place to come for fun in the Waikato. With our casino at our heart, live entertainment, restaurants, a conference centre, and ten-pin bowling, there's always something happening! Our mission is to thrill, excite, and make everyone feel like a winner!

About the role:

The casino is far from your typical workplace! Our attendants are right in the heart of the action on the main gaming floor, ensuring that our Gaming Machine customers have a top-notch experience. Tasks include assisting with minor machine repairs (training provided!), answering general queries, and supporting our responsible gaming programme by promoting safe and responsible gaming. You'll also help maintain a clean and tidy area by tidying chairs and removing empty glasses. The role involves a fair amount of walking, so it's perfect for those who want to stay active while working!

You will also:

• Complete payouts

This is a part-time opportunity, working approximately 16-24 hours per week. Friday and Saturday nights are our busiest times, so availability during these times is preferred. Flexibility in your schedule will be an advantage.

A passion for customer service is essential. You'll understand the importance of handling confidential information carefully, anticipate customer needs, resolve issues with ease, and provide excellent service consistently. With a confident communication style, you'll approach customers in an outgoing, friendly, and positive manner. Attention to detail, professionalism, good judgment, and knowing when to escalate matters are key qualities for this role. It's an excellent opportunity to develop your people skills and gain experience with New Zealand's largest entertainment company.

To succeed in this role, you must:

• Be at least 20 years old
• Have a good credit history (required for the COA gaming license)
• Be available for shifts, especially weekends and nights, as the casino operates 24/7 on weekends
