Reports to : Chief Customer & Gallery Officer

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm (100% On-site)

Stone Tile International Inc. is looking for a Gallery Manager. Celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2022, we are North America’s leading fashion house of natural and manufactured tiles, stone, and wood. With over 160 employees and showrooms across major Canadian cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary, we are seeking to improve our international reputation as a luxury design firm for the architects and designers’ community as well as discerning residential customers to redefine their spaces to transcend the ordinary.

The Gallery Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and sales teams of the Stone Tile Main and Slab Galleries in Toronto . This role ensures elevated client experience, drives sales performance, and upholds the aesthetic, operational, and service standards that reflects Stone Tile’s reputation as a leading provider of premium stone, tile, and wood products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead by example on the floor to deliver exceptional and inspiring customer experience in both the main gallery and slab gallery.
  • Support the team in consultative selling, design support, and technical product education to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key clients, designers, architects, and builders to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Champion the integration of digital tools, including virtual consultations to enhance the client experience, enabling clients to confidentially shop from anywhere.
  • Curate and host gallery events and educational sessions in collaboration with the events, marketing and sales teams to strengthen stone tiles’ presence in the community.
  • Actively seek new client relationships and project opportunities through targeted outreach, prospecting, and local engagement.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach to high-potential design firms, builders.

2. Team Management

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop gallery staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Schedule and manage daily staffing to ensure appropriate coverage in both galleries.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching on outreach techniques, lead follow-up, and client relationship management.
  • Foster an inclusive, motivated and high performing culture.
  • 3. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the presentation, merchandising and cleanliness standards of the galleries.
  • Ensure inventory, samples and displays are current, well maintained and reflective on stone-tiles brand standards.
  • In collaboration with Customer Experience lead, manage processes to deliver a best-in-class Gallery and Customer Experience.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Interior Design, Retail Management, Merchandizing or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in retail, showroom, gallery, or related environments, ideally in luxury, design, or building materials.
  • Strong knowledge of stone, tile, wood, or similar surface products is an asset.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage designers, architects, builders, and homeowners.
  • The ideal candidate brings strong industry relationships and well-established network.
  • Operationally strong with attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with systems for order entry, inventory management, and CRM tools.
  • Primarily office and gallery-based
  • May involve evening or weekend work to support gallery openings, events, or VIP client interactions.
