Carmichael Engineering in Fredericton, NB is seeking a G1 Gas Technician/Gas Fitter A to perform maintenance and repair of heating and combustion systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. You will operate with a company vehicle and be part of a team delivering safe, reliable comfort.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• G1 certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial and institutional heating and combustion systems.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong communication with clients and suppliers is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal maintenance on hot water and steam heating systems in commercial, industrial and institutional sectors.
• Diagnose natural gas and propane system issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Test combustion equipment and control systems and ensure safe operation.
• Dismantle defective systems and replace faulty parts.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and outcomes.
