Position Summary

Primary role is to operate a straight truck transporting a variety of goods and materials. Responsibilities include safely loading and unloading cargo, securing loads for transportation, and planning efficient delivery routes.

What you will do

1. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
2. Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
3. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
4. Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
5. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
6. Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors.
7. Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner.

What You’ll Bring

1. G Class License is required.
2. 6 months of experience operating a Cargo Van.
3. Comfortable with smartphone technology.
4. Must be willing to load/unload and be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
5. Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations.
6. Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada.
