Job summary

A leading visual effects company in Montreal is seeking an experienced FX Supervisor to oversee the artistic and technical aspects of visual effects for various projects. The successful candidate will lead FX artists, ensure high-quality standards, and collaborate closely with team members. A minimum of 10 years in a VFX environment, advanced skills in Houdini, and strong leadership qualities are required. The position involves on-site work and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in visual effects in a VFX environment.
• Confirmed experience in team supervision or project management.
• Advanced proficiency in Houdini (Pyro, Flip, RBD, Vellum, SOPs).
• Functional knowledge of Nuke, Arnold, Karma, and Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and support FX artists.
• Evaluate workload with production and anticipate staffing needs.
• Define technical standards for all delivered effects.
• Collaborate with VFX and CG supervisors.
