We are seeking Work Management Coordinators for future temporary opportunities or contract opportunities through a vendor partner at the Bruce Power site. These dynamic opportunities require individuals who thrive in a fast paced and integrated team environment.

The Work Management Coordinator is responsible for developing work scope, coordinating approvals, and managing change control. They ensure schedules, cost reports, and work programs align with the defined scope, while also directing planning and scheduling processes. The role includes clarifying responsibilities, analyzing performance for future improvements, and providing team leadership for staff involved in schedule preparation and resource estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, create a motivating work environment, act as a coach and facilitator, share information openly, and be accessible to employees.
  • Accountable for the effective and efficient management for all scheduled activities including coordinating maintenance and operations staff by using schedule process and outage management process.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and maintain status on all preparatory and ongoing requirements of the schedule. Be accountable for ensuring preparation and execution activities are performed with attention to public and worker safety requirements. Prepare initial walk down of jobs, keep abreast of current changes in operating requirements and determine relevant impacts on execution. Anticipate emerging issues, and initiate and /or accommodate projects, mandatory discovery work, and emergent work into the schedule.
  • Manage, direct and communicate the resolution of various coordination and cost issues to all groups and ensure corrective action plans are established. Be accountable for identifying necessary resources to ensure work is accomplished in accordance with the schedule.
  • Provide effective leadership at daily status meetings, task analysis meetings etc. Ensure all permits preparation, pre-job walk downs, contingency plans, risk assessments, final approvals and other requirements are complete, and situations have not changed prior to work execution.
  • Monitor work completion, perform/attend readiness review sessions, provide predictive reporting, statistical reports, and other cost scheduling progress and performance reports, attend carry-over meetings, post outage / project meetings, identify significant events, lessons learned, analysis accomplishments and failures, problems and corrective actions.
  • Review and analyze planning and reporting techniques and cost and scheduling methods.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute work programs/projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing reports and delivering presentations.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and effective personal work management approach ensuring work is organized, delivered in a timely manner and is of appropriate quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and take independent action as appropriate.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of Grade XII plus 3 years further concentrated study.
  • Experience in a nuclear facility is considered necessary to gain this experience.
