Job summary

Hayden Diamond Bit Industries Ltd specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. The company is seeking a Furnace Operator for the afternoon shift, 2:30 PM to 11 PM, with duties spanning furnace operation, cleaning, quality checks and maintenance support.

The role requires Grade 12 or equivalent, manufacturing experience, English communication and ability to work in a hot environment,

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
Prior manufacturing experience in metal or related industries.
Able to communicate efficiently in English.
Basic knowledge of machine and power tools operations.
Able to work in hot environments (30–38°C).
Able to stand for the 8‑hour shift and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates furnace equipment for production.
Removes finished parts using appropriate machinery and tools.
Performs sandblasting to remove excess materials from finished parts.
Keeps furnace stations and surrounding area clean and clear of debris.
Performs to production goals.
Understands safety equipment and procedures and ensures safe operations.
Performs in-process quality checks of parts before and after furnace operations.
Prepare quality records diligently and promptly.
Assists maintenance personnel as directed.
Other general maintenance tasks as assigned.
