A leading global producer in Mississauga is hiring a full-time Furnace Operator responsible for operating and monitoring furnaces, preparing loads, and performing maintenance. Candidates should have a Certificate in heat treatment, be licensed in forklift and overhead crane operation, and possess a high school diploma. This position offers immediate openings with a competitive pay range of $28-$35/hr depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a Certificate in heat treatment.
• Licensed in Forklift and Overhead Crane.
• High School Diploma required.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Experience and knowledge in furnace operations and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor vacuum, atmosphere, and nitriding furnaces.
• Familiarity with forklifts and overhead cranes is required.
• Prepare loads for heat treatment furnaces.
• Perform minor furnace or equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Conduct inspections and maintain safety standards.
• Sandblast parts when necessary.
• Replace gases as needed.
• Report potential risks or issues.
• Maintain regular housekeeping of the shop floor.
• Manage furnace logs.
