Job description

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry.

We are seeking candidate for Furnace Operator in Richmond, BC location.

Job responsibilities :

  1. Sets up and operates furnace equipment for production. Keeps equipment operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.
  2. Remove finished parts using appropriate machinery and tools.
  3. Performs sandblasting to remove excess materials from finished parts.
  4. Keeps furnace stations and surrounding area clean and clear of debris.
  5. Performs to production goals.
  6. Understands all safety equipment and procedures and ensure safe operations.
  7. Performs in-process quality checks of parts before and after furnace operations.
  8. Prepare all quality records diligently and promptly.
  9. Assists maintenance personnel as directed.
  10. Other general maintenance tasks as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent. Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently.
  2. Prior manufacturing experience in metal or related industries and demonstrated ability to following work procedures and operate independently without close supervision.
  3. Basic knowledge of machine and power tools operations. Mechanically inclined.
  4. Able to work in environment temperatures between 30 – 38 degrees Celsius
  5. Able to work flexible shifts.
  6. Must not be allergic to dust, graphite or metal compounds.
  7. Able to work standing for the duration of the 8 hours shift.
  8. Able to lift/move weights up to 30 lbs.
  9. Able to work in a team.
  10. Must have legal working status in Canada
