Tasks

• Consult with the family of the deceased regarding funeral and related services
• Inform survivors of benefits
• Schedule work of other staff
• Issue death notices to newspapers
• Maintain and order supplies
• Coordinate burials and cremations
• Pre-arrange funerals
• Arrange for transfer of remains from the place of death to the funeral home
• Work with minimal supervision
