Job summary

Islamic Relief Canada is seeking a Fixed Term fundraiser to support the National Fundraising Team with campaigns, events and related tasks. You will coordinate logistics, track finances and help streamline processes to boost fundraising impact.

The role supports national campaigns, with hybrid in-office requirements based on distance from regional offices. A starting salary is provided with potential adjustments based on qualifications and factors.

Responsibilities

• Support the National Fundraising Team and team on national fundraising campaigns, events, challenges, and ad-hoc related tasks/projects
• Develop systems and processes to support the National team on major campaigns and events (i.e. Ramadan collections, fundraisers, national challenges, etc)
• Liaise with relevant members to uphold IR’s standards and expectations
• Liaise with internal and external teams to continuously improve the department’s onboarding process
• Prepare and submit requests for marketing and/or Communications and Government Relations collateral for fundraising needed
• Liaise with the National team to organize regional events and activities
• Track profit/loss after events and campaigns
• Oversee/submit department invoices, expenses, and reimbursements to finance
• Support the National Fundraising Team with day-to-day tasks

About the Department:

The Fund Development department aims to develop and implement strategies to increase the funding income of Islamic Relief through a range of fundraising initiatives and through acquisition and retention of donors, volunteers and community supporters.

Job Purpose:

To support the operations of the National Fundraising Team executing fundraising campaigns and events. Streamline processes, coordinate with internal and external teams, manage logistics, and handle administrative tasks like tracking finances and processing expenses to support effective fundraising efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the National Fundraising Team and team on national fundraising campaigns, events, challenges, and ad-hoc related tasks/projects

Hybrid Work Policy:

IRC has a hybrid model where in-office requirements are based on distance from our Burlington headquarters or a regional office (Surrey, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa). Depending on where you live, this can range from two days a week to one day a month.

Starting Salary:
