Job summary

Sandgate Women’s Shelter in York Region is seeking a dedicated Fund Developer and Partnerships to lead fundraising campaigns and build a portfolio of donors and partners. The role reports to the Executive Director and supports a capital project for transitional housing.

The one-year, full-time contract offers hybrid work with some onsite requirements in Jackson’s Point and surrounding communities, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Fundraising or related field, or 2–3 years fundraising experience.
• Strong relationship-building and external engagement.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to feminist, anti-oppression approaches in service delivery.
• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising initiatives and capital campaign planning.
• Develop and manage donor portfolios and stewardship.
• Cultivate corporate partnerships and community engagement.
• Plan and report on fundraising campaigns and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records and reporting structures.
• Represent Sandgate in public speaking and community events.
