Job description

The Fund Development Coordinator is focused on community outreach to connect with sponsors and donors that are aligned with KCR Community Resources mission and vision

Reporting Structure :

Community Services Manager

Prime Functions :

Development resource & fund

  • Research and develop potential relationships with new donors and help to steward existing donors
  • Create sponsorship and donation campaigns on behalf of the organization
  • Work with leadership to establish annual goals and strategies
  • Research grant opportunities that align with KCR core competencies and mission; support writing grant proposals when necessary
  • Evaluate current campaign success and make adjustments when required
  • Attend events when aligned with role and KCRs community connections
  • Demonstrate knowledge of KCRs programs, workshops and services; utilize impactful statements that appropriately and accurately promote the positive influence KCRs services have on the community

Monitor, document and maintain accurate data

  • Generate donation acknowledgments, tribute cards, pledge letters, and charitable tax receipts
  • Maintain accurate records of donors, prospects, and donations using our donation management system
  • Track fundraising progress, analyze data and prepare reports on fundraising performance
  • Keep the KCR team updated and informed on donors and community connections

Qualifications :

  • A motivated individual who thrives on making connections, networking, and recognizing opportunities
  • 3-year related experience working with fundraising database software
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality with regard to donor and other fundraising information
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues surrounding KCRs diverse programming and target groups
  • Experience utilizing various fundraising methods and grant writing
  • Understanding of basic financial principles and budgeting
  • Proficiency in using fundraising software and databases
