JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Fund Development Coordinator

Position Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Reports To: Executive Director

Salary: $19.29 – $28.92/hour

General Purpose:

The Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing fundraising efforts, including, focusing on the organization's major fundraising events and third-party fundraisers. Duties also include successfully developing and stewarding corporate and community partners and elevating the profile of the agency in the community.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Fundraising Responsibilities/Duties

  • Collaborate with the Staff, Event Committees, Executive Director, and Board of Directors to develop the annual Fund Development Plan and budgets
  • Plan and execute the agency’s annual fundraising Gala, Bowl for Kids event, Big Little Run event, Golf tournament, and third-party fundraising events
  • Collaborate with individual event chairpersons, and act as a consultant and resource for designated fundraising projects
  • Developing and planning new fundraising events for the organization.
  • Liaise with and provide support to interested individuals/companies who are interested in hosting and executing third-party fundraising events in support of the organization.
  • Promote fundraising initiatives through the creation of printed and digital marketing materials; ensure that artwork is prepared and printing is completed, as required, for each project
  • Develop and present fund development reports and updates to donors, funders and other key stakeholders
  • Assist in the recruitment, training and management of volunteers for fundraising projects
  • Ensure all fundraising activities adhere to federal and provincial privacy legislation and adhere to agency’s privacy policies and practices

Other Related Duties

  • Supervise and assign work to placement students, providing strategic mentorship to ensure successful completion of tasks
  • Ensure timely completion of committee minutes, monthly reports, statistics, and budgets
  • Attend meetings as directed by the Executive Director
  • Remain aware of federal & provincial legislation and the agency’s privacy policies & practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Relevant degree/certificate(s) in fundraising, event management or non-profit management is an asset
  • Successful track record in the development and execution of fundraising events and in the development and stewardship of donors/sponsors
  • Excellent social, interpersonal and leadership skills, public speaking and writing ability
  • Existing familiarity with the Guelph community is an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
  • Familiarity with WordPress content management system is an asset
  • Familiarity with donor management software is an asset
