About Us: Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador is a nonprofit organization based in St. John's, dedicated to providing over 20 programs and services for people with disabilities across the province.

Position Overview: The Fund Development and Communications Coordinator supports the Fund Development and Communications Manager by coordinating events, internal and external communications.

Core Responsibilities:

Event Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Fund Development and Communications Manager to coordinate and execute annual fundraising events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration, venue setup, on-site coordination, and fundraising software.

Sponsorship and Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain community partnerships to support national and local campaigns.
  • Assist with identifying, stewarding, and retaining significant event sponsors and donations.
  • Create individualized impact reports and post-event feedback forms to assess event outcomes.

Communications

  • Work with external marketing agencies to support events goals, internal and external communications.
  • Using email subscription software, create engaging content for external communications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly updates, event invitations, and more.
  • Update the organization's annual Gratitude and AGM Reports.
  • Assist with issuing split tax receipts.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising with a charitable organization is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating events, and communication strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with various software platforms, including Google Workspace, fundraising software, website content management systems, email subscription tools, and Zoom.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
