Job summary

Citco in Canada seeks a senior Fund Accountant to support the Fund Accounting team in delivering accurate client reporting and NAV calculations. You will supervise staff, liaise with clients, and ensure timely financial statements and compliance across hedge funds and investment structures.

As a core member of the Fund Accounting function, you will contribute to process improvements, participate in audits, and help onboard new clients and funds, collaborating across offices and offshore teams to

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or professional accounting designation (CGA, CMA, CA, CPA or CFA).
• Experience in financial services industry and an understanding of investment strategies and financials products, particularly hedge funds and/or investment companies.
• Extensive supervisory, managerial and client service experience.
• Demonstrated financial reporting/analytical/organizational skills.
• Applies strong business knowledge and technical expertise to develop and recommend solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the team manager in completing client deliverables, staff development, task allocation and process improvement.
• Oversee and prepare financial reports and KPI reporting, including NAV calculations and deadlines.
• Act as a liaison with clients on monthly reporting packages.
• Monitor compliance of agreements and lead weekly/monthly client calls.
• Lead monthly scorecards and KPI reporting; review staff work and reconciliation packages.
• Lead new client onboarding and new fund launches to successful completion.
