Job summary

Petra Funds Group is seeking a seasoned Fund Accounting Manager to lead delivery of fund accounting and client service for private equity funds. You will manage relationships at the engagement level, oversee capital activity, fee calculations, cash management, and financial statements, while coaching a team and collaborating with Directors on complex matters.

The role requires deep private equity fund accounting expertise, strong judgment, and a client-first mindset aligned with Petra's culture.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive work experience in accounting or audit, with a preference for private equity, fund administration, or public accounting experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks promptly.
• Ability to build and maintain advanced spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Quarterly and year-end close activities for assigned Funds, including financial statements and reconciliations.
• Read, understand, and interpret Limited Partnerships and Operating Agreements and related documents.
• Knowledge of partnerships, fund structures, waterfalls, and capital transactions.
• Knowledge of Fund performance metrics such as IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI, MOIC.
• Prepare Fund capital calls and distributions, including investor calculations and notices.
• Provide auditors with necessary supporting documentation for year-end audit and tax returns.
