About the role

The Financial Solutions Functional Sales Executive (FSE) is an experienced sales and business leader with expertise in sales, financial information systems, accounting, and Blackbaud’s financial solutions. You are a consultant or advisor by nature, with experience in the non-profit sector, including hospital foundations, university advancement offices, or K-12 independent schools. You are a coach, comfortable helping others improve, familiar with concepts like restricted fund accounting, and understand the regulatory environment for non-profits. You can cultivate relationships with C-level decision-makers and communicate fluently with CFOs. This is a quota-carrying position, requiring past sales experience or a record of achieving ambitious goals.

What you'll do
  1. Identify top customer prospects in Blackbaud’s Canadian verticals.
  2. Partner with Account Executives to promote Blackbaud financial solutions.
  3. Participate in discovery calls, RFP responses, solution demonstrations, and present compelling business cases.
  4. Deliver bookings results against targets.
  5. Contribute to building and executing the financial solutions sales strategy.
  6. Coach Account Executives and Sales Managers in deal pursuits and enablement workshops.
  7. Create sales enablement programs and content as needed.
  8. Support demand generation campaigns.
  9. Enable partner channels to expand partner-influenced bookings.
  10. Participate in sales forecasting with shared accountability.
  11. Collaborate with product managers on future product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  12. Understand the competitive landscape.
  13. Maintain post-sale client relationships, measure value, and develop references.
  14. Partner with customer success managers to ensure successful onboarding.
  15. Consult on implementation strategies with customer success teams and partners.
What you'll bring
  1. Experience in financial operations and/or accounting, with an understanding of the CFO's office.
  2. Ideally, + years of experience with Blackbaud Financial Solutions or similar.
  3. At least 5+ years of SaaS sales experience or equivalent nonprofit industry experience.
  4. Strong listening skills and ability to ask effective need-development questions.
  5. Ability to influence through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.
  6. Experience delivering presentations to both executive and staff audiences.
  7. Ability to translate features into business benefits and client value.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
  9. Bonus: bilingual in English and French.
