Abbeal is hiring three data analysts for the financial crime team of a major Canadian bank in Montreal. These permanent roles require hybrid work with 2 days in the office and involve transforming AML and fraud detection data, and automating suspicious transaction reporting.

You will map data from multiple sources, define transformation rules, ensure data quality, and collaborate with ETL teams to deliver robust detection and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a functional or data analyst in a financial institution.
• Data mapping and star schema modelling; Data Vault is an asset.
• Work with ETL teams on DataStage or similar.
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering or fraud is appreciated.
• French required, English required depending on the role.

Responsabilités

• Analyse needs of operations and compliance teams and translate into requirements and data specs.
• Map data from sources to target structures: APIs, JSON, transactional systems, multi-source cases.
• Define transformation, enrichment, normalisation and validation rules.
• Check data quality and lineage across the full cycle, from sources to the data mart.
• Run workshops, refine the backlog and support acceptance testing.
