The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for fully-funded Ph.D. positions in Power Electronics for the Winter 2026 admission cycle. Successful candidates will join the research group led by Dr. Mengqi (Maggie) Wang, focusing on power electronics with strong applications in Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree with a focus on power electronics.
  • Experience with hardware prototyping, simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS, LTspice), and control systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
