Job Description

The Pet Valu family of stores includes Pet Valu, Paulmac's Pet Food, Bosley's, Tisol, and Total Pet. We are one of the largest retail operations in North America dedicated to providing families with food and supplies for dogs, cats, companion birds, wild birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals.

Location : North York, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with store operations, including cashiering, customer service, and stock management.
  • Prepare merchandise orders, handle banking, and perform miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Stock shelves with small items, including pet supplies and household items.
  • Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
  • Unload deliveries of pet food and supplies, placing items into stock (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Open and close the store following company procedures.
  • Assist in assigning daily goals and tasks in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications :

  • At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license may be required.
