Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a senior Java developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise apps using Spring Boot and microservices in a cloud-based environment. You will develop RESTful APIs, implement event-driven architectures with Kafka/RabbitMQ/Azure Service Bus, and drive CI/CD with Jenkins.

Strong testing, SRE practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential. Requires 8+ years in Java/Spring, 5+ years with messaging and databases (Oracle, Postgres).

Qualifications

• 8+ years solid experience with java spring-based frameworks and libraries preferably Spring boot.
• 5+ years hands on experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Service Bus.
• 5+ years experience with building applications working with databases like Oracle, Postgres.
• Experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture.
• Understanding and experience working with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with software application testing approaches and tools like jUnit, Cucumber, Selenium.
• Experience with Chaos Testing and other SRE practices for building highly resilient cloud-based software applications.
• Experience designing and developing applications in microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures that support high availability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
• Build and support event-driven architectures using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Azure Service Bus.
• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational database technologies.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins.
• Develop automated tests including unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing using JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and Chaos Engineering practices to improve system resilience and fault tolerance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, scalability, and production issues across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Ensure adherence to security, coding standards, and software development best practices.
