Full Time Team Leader, adidas Retail Outlet Store, Signal Hill (#2031)

Purpose

Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding the hourly associates in the day-to-day procedures to best drive the store objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the daily operations of the store and activities of hourly associates to accomplish excellent customer service and maximize sales, in conjunction with or in the absence of management staff.
• Provide positive reinforcement to hourly associates to promote high momentum and achieve staff growth.
• Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions for Sales Associates on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
• Assist in completing documentation related to applicants and new hires.
• Help display merchandise to attract attention and promote sales.
• Utilize customer service and training tools to develop staff aligned with division goals.
• Originate or follow merchandise display suggestions from management.
• Assist with staffing and labor cost control.
• Become proficient with the point of sale system and ensure policy adherence.
• Complete sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Assist with product ticketing, stock flow, and sales floor fill-in.
• Communicate product levels and project progress to management.
• Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, cashiering, and stock duties to maintain staff coverage and lead by example.
• Oversee store upkeep duties.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues to promote good relations.
• Provide excellent adidas customer service.
• Use selling techniques to enhance sales and train employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exhibit competencies relevant to the position.
• Apply common sense to instructions and problems.
• Use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS system effectively.
• Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Perform basic math operations.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime during peak times.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, handling merchandise, and lifting up to 34 kg.
