Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding the hourly associates in the day-to-day procedures to best drive the store objectives.
Key Accountabilities :
- Guide the daily operations of the store and activities of hourly associates to accomplish excellent customer service and maximize sales, in conjunction with or in the absence of management staff.
- Provide positive reinforcement to hourly associates to promote high momentum and achieve staff growth and optimal results.
- Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions for Sales Associates on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
- Assist with documentation related to applicants and new hires.
- Help display merchandise such as clothing, footwear, and accessories to attract attention and promote sales.
- Utilize customer service, training, and communication tools to develop staff in line with division goals.
- Originate or follow merchandise display suggestions provided by management.
- Assist with staffing and labor cost control to maintain standards.
- Achieve proficiency with the point of sale system, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Complete sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
- Support product ticketing and verify paperwork against received items.
- Assist in product flow from stockroom to sales floor as needed.
- Monitor and maintain sales floor fill-in processes.
- Communicate product levels and assortments with management.
- Report progress on projects such as floor change-outs, shipments, and markdown setups.
- Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, and store upkeep duties to ensure adequate staffing and lead by example.
- Oversee store upkeep duties performance.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

- Use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems effectively.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills.

- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime during peak periods.
- Maintain physical activity requirements, including standing, walking, lifting up to 34 kg, and other physical movements.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required or in pursuit.
- Retail experience of three to six months preferred.
