SHIFT & SCHEDULE:

Job Description

Stud Hand/Groundsperson required by a small sports horse breeding facility located close to Newmarket, Suffolk. The ideal person will have experience working within the equestrian industry and understand the requirements of keeping the grounds, stables, and paddocks in good order. Previous stud experience would be preferred.

We are looking for someone to work 5 days a week, which will include at least one weekend day.

The Position will include:

  • Mucking out 8 stables each day
  • Keeping yards and driveways clean and tidy
  • Maintaining the paddocks using large machinery – spraying, topping, muck clearing etc.
  • Checking fences and repairing where necessary
  • Keeping hay and bedding store neat and well stacked

The Person:

  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Physically fit as some of the work will involve lifting and pushing heavy barrows etc.
  • Able to maintain paddocks to a high standard using large machinery – tractor and implements
  • A car driver with own transport
  • Will be within 30 minutes commute
