As a Store Manager, you will coach and develop your store team to deliver exceptional service to all customers and help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and solutions for their pets. What you do :

  • Ensure customer service standards are met; maintain courteous relationships within the community (e.g., Humane Society)
  • Manage a team of employees, including recruiting, scheduling, training, assigning tasks, supervision, and coaching
  • Ensure staff adhere to operational standards and procedures set by corporate
  • Coordinate administrative activities such as order placements, inventory management, store and safety audits, minor repairs, and corporate paperwork
  • Work towards achieving targeted business results through team efforts
  • Perform other duties as required

What you bring :

  • At least 2+ years of retail or restaurant management experience, including staff management
  • Minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime paid (time & a half)
  • On-call during store hours
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growth in the pet care industry
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with strong customer service skills
  • Availability during key retail periods, including holidays, Saturdays, and some evenings
  • Reliable transportation to and from the store
  • Ability to observe, coach, and provide feedback to employees on sales and customer service techniques
  • Capacity to understand and escalate inter-team conflicts when necessary
  • Working knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Industry experience is an asset
