Job description

Join to apply for the Full Time Service Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Store - CAL-DEERFOOT TRAIL, AB

Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure a positive checkout experience. Perform truck unloading, stocking, and maintain store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Helping customers locate products and providing solutions
  2. Ensuring fast, friendly checkout with proper cash handling
  3. Engaging customers with Rewards program and Credit Card enrollments
  4. Educating customers about VOC surveys
  5. Supporting Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS
  6. Participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties
  7. Completing merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  8. Optimizing store stock and supporting safety and shrink programs
  9. Adhering to SOPs and company policies for legal and operational compliance
  10. Promoting a respectful, positive work environment and role modeling
  11. Cross-training in Custom Framing sales and production
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods, moving throughout the store
  • Lifting, bending, reaching, and using ladders as needed
  • Work involves outdoor, climate-controlled, and some non-climate-controlled areas, with work hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings

Applicants must meet legal requirements in Canada and be at least 16 years old.
