Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of employees, guests, the facility and company assets at the site level. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees

Key Accountabilities

• Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
• Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
• Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
• Escorts cash/cash equivalents
• Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
• Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
• Escorts guests and team members as directed
• Performs identification checks as required
• Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
• Performs crowd control as directed
• May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations
• Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed
  
  

Education And Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 2 years of work experience
• Valid Security License
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate required
• Valid Smart Serve
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
• Must be able to work around horses
  
  

Work Environment Considerations

• This is a three (3) month contract position June until end of August. Position will be working outdoors as well as in the Paddock around to horses. Must be available to work every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday for our live racing schedule.
