• Position:** Full Time Security Guard
• Site:** Cabot Canada Ltd.
• Site Address:** 800 Tashmoo Ave, Sarnia, ON N7T 7N4
• Overtime Method:** Employment Standards Act – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
• Hours:** 2 Week Rotation 05:00 –13:00/13:00 - 21:00hrs
• Payrate:** $20.88/hr
• Posting Date:** September 15, 2025

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security
• Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas
• Perform waste and perimeter inspections
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities
• Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed
• Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities
• Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team
• Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences
• Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly
• Report and broadcast emergency procedures, drills and testing
• Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use

Prerequisites

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
