Care1 is a revenue-generating medical AI and technology company that is changing the way eye doctors think about patient care.

Our cloud-based software connects eye doctors (ophthalmologists and optometrists) allowing them to screen, diagnose, and treat patients remotely. We also label, train, fine tune and implement deep learning AI models for the automatic detection and treatment of complex eyecare diseases via a variety of modern diagnostic technologies including 3-dimensional photos of the eye, ocular coherence tomography and peripheral visual field testing. Over the past decade we have grown Care1 to integrate with over 200 eye doctors across Canada, who have used our platform to deliver care to over 150,000 patients. This makes the Care1 network one of the largest teleophthalmology networks worldwide.

We’re looking for a highly organized Product Manager to take full ownership of product execution. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO to transform his product vision into clearly defined features and deliverables. While the CEO owns the vision and strategy, you’ll be responsible for translating those high-level ideas into clear roadmaps and actionable plans, as well as ensuring they move through development with clarity and momentum. Your focus will be on execution—making sure nothing slips through the cracks and that each initiative is delivered on time and to a high standard.

You’ll act as the central link between the CEO and our cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, customer success, and R&D. Your strength lies in filling in the gaps: conducting research, asking the right questions, and clarifying ambiguous requirements. You’ll ensure that every feature is well-defined, aligned across teams, and ready for smooth execution and delivery

What you'll do

• Partner directly with the CEO to understand his product vision and translate it into actionable plans, timelines, quarterly roadmaps and detailed feature specifications.
• Own the product backlog—define, prioritize, and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Identify and fill in gaps in requirements through market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and UX research strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the product, engineering, design, and customer success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and cross-functional alignment.
• Facilitate communication across teams in order to ensure shared understanding and to eliminate ambiguity.
• Proactively track progress against goals, milestones, and team capacity, anticipating roadblocks and keeping initiatives moving forward.
• Collect and synthesize post-launch feedback to inform product iterations and future planning.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of driving execution from concept to delivery in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to translate a founder’s or executive’s vision into clear, actionable product plans.
• Strong organizational and project management skills—you drive clarity and follow-through across teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail in documenting requirements, edge cases, and success criteria.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience writing user stories and managing backlogs in collaboration with engineering and design.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in eye tech, health tech, or regulated/clinical product environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in a product context.
