Job description

Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team at CFB Gagetown, this role offers an Occupational Therapist the opportunity to have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of today's Canadian Armed Forces service members.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to work exclusively with military service members. Your responsibilities will include: Evaluating and providing treatments for individuals with a wide range of injuries; utilizing education, therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and ergonomic modifications; and collaborating in the prescription of supportive and protective devices.

Qualifications
  • Licensed with the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists - NBAOT
  • 1 year of experience working with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pre and post-surgical conditions, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and/or amputations. Experience with Return to Work considered an asset.
Additional Requirements
  • You will be required to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
