Job Skills / Requirements

Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. You will be required to write reports, investigate routine incidents, and respond to coded emergencies efficiently. Excellent customer service skills are essential, especially when working with stressed or medical assistance-seeking individuals. You must be physically fit to stand and walk for long periods. The role involves driving and patrolling hospital grounds in a marked company patrol vehicle, responding to incidents on hospital property.

Position Details

• Position: Full Time Mobile Patrol Supervisor

• Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
• Hours: Monday – Friday 2230-0630hrs
• Payrate: $18.00/HR

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
• Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
• Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions.
• Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting suspicious activities.
• Report incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly.
• Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting unusual occurrences.
• Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
• Cooperate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.
• Ensure all safety equipment is maintained and operational.

Prerequisites

• Valid G Class Driver's Licence with 3 years of driving experience.
• Driver abstract with no more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.
• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.
• Valid Ontario Security Licence.
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB); or willingness to complete Paladin's training prior to onboarding.
• Legal right to work in Canada.
