Job summary

Sobeys Victoria is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our fresh foods team. You will cut, trim and prepare meat products, assist customers, and ensure displays are attractive and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Retail Meat Cutter experience is highly valued.
• Knowledge of meat cuts and display preparation is an asset.
• Able to work in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare meat products for display using knives and saws.
• Greet customers and provide friendly, informed service.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation of the meat area and stock shelves.

• Cut and prepare meat products for display using knives and saws
• Stocking various meat products to shelves
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with company programs
• Use of commercial power equipment

• Cleaning and sanitizing of work area

What You Bring To The Table

• Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous Retail Meat Cutting experience
• Knowledgeable of various cuts of meat an asset. company specific training will be provided
