Position: Full Time, Household Assistant, Live In, Live Out, Pet Caretaker

Location: Long Island, New York

A returning Pavillion client needs to hire a Household Assistant to spearhead heavy pet care for their small brood of large, well-trained dogs, as well as handle other household related tasks. Responsibilities include:

1. Providing daily pet care – feedings, walking them, transporting them to vet appointments (local & within Manhattan).
2. Pet-related housekeeping duties (washing bowls, crates & bedding, etc.).
3. Overnight care when the Principal is away (usually at least one night a week).
4. Occasional light cooking.
5. Taking the car in for service.
6. Running household errands & shopping.
7. Receiving deliveries.
8. Occasionally driving the Principal.

All dogs are well trained and this role will require working with the trainer to learn more about their proper care and commands. There is a housekeeper who handles the majority of household cleaning and laundry duties. Primary residence is in Southampton, though the principal does spend a few nights a week in Manhattan. It is imperative that the person in this role be able to do some heavy lifting and be fit enough to handle large animals. While this is not a formal home, the role does require a proper understanding of professional boundaries. While live out is preferred, the principal is open to assisting in providing local housing if needed. Schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Salary range: $40-50/hr. Immediate start.
