We are seeking friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at various healthcare facilities in Red Deer and surrounding areas, including hospitals, private clinics, long-term care facilities, and more. Our Healthcare managers collaborate with employees to find positions and worksites that suit their lifestyles.

This position involves a 7 on, 7 off rotation, alternating between days and nights (1 week of days, 1 week off, then 1 week of nights, 1 week off).

Please Note: You will be required to travel as far as Dilsbury, Hanna, Two Hills, Drayton Valley, and Wetaskiwin.

On Call Security Guards are guaranteed a base rate during all on-call hours. This rate increases to the site-specific rate when called out to shifts, which occurs nearly daily. Mileage is compensated for travel exceeding 50 km one-way from the employee's base location.

Healthcare Security can be physically and emotionally demanding. Security Professionals provide support, empathy, customer service, and public safety to healthcare staff, visitors, clients, and patients. The work environment can be both enjoyable and stressful. A day in the life of a Healthcare Security Guard:

Duties

• Provide access control in and out of the facility, including within restricted areas.
• Monitor and respond to incidents around the property, including on cameras.
• Conduct patrols, checking for risks such as unlocked doors, blocked exits, mechanical issues, hazardous materials, and security breaches.
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls.
• Investigate and report irregularities found during duties.
• Monitor patient safety, documenting and reporting incidents as needed.

Certification Requirements (All):

• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
• Valid Security License
