Job summary

Thrifty-Foods is seeking a Grocery Clerk to deliver friendly service, assist customers, and keep shelves stocked in a fast-paced store environment. You will follow safety protocols, help with stock handling, and promote featured products to boost store sales.

Join the team to maintain a clean, presentable space and participate in the training of junior staff while meeting daily customer needs and upholding company standards.

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock following inventory control procedures.
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs.
• Promote featured products to increase store sales.
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per company requirements.
• Prep customer orders, as required.
• Process department shrink, as required.
• Participate in the training of junior staff.
• Other duties as required.

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
