This role is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals as outlined on menus in accordance with applicable food service and safety regulations, while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role contributes to the broader mission and values of The Salvation Army, upholding standards of service that reflect its spiritual and social commitment to the community.
The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Army’s Mission Statement, in a professional manner, upholding our code of conduct.
Completion of high school, plus specialized courses of up to six (6) months.
One to three years of prior related experience, with at least one year of institutional cooking experience
Initially, must provide own non-slip, safety work boots.
Food Safe 1 basic is a requirement of employment.
Must provide verification of negative TB skin test.
Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
Willing to take Occupational First Aid Certification after being hired.
Must understand and reflect the ARC Philosophy, Standards, and Tenets.

The target hiring range for this position is $24.06 to $24.56 with a maximum of $25.06.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
