Job summary

North York General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Child & Youth Counsellor for the Eating Disorder Day Program at Phillips House. You will provide direct care to patients and families, and develop a care plan in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include attending meetings, maintaining records, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to quality improvements. Bilingual French/English is an asset, with OCYC membership preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Child & Youth Counsellor Diploma from a recognized community college.
• DBT knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with FBT for Eating Disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and families in the Eating Disorder Day Program.
• Develop and implement a plan of care in collaboration with the child/family and health care team; attend meetings and maintain records.
• Act as a role model and mentor CYC colleagues and students.
• Collaborate in comprehensive assessment of adolescents focusing on psychosocial issues and family milieu.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
