Job summary

Giant Tiger is seeking a friendly cashier (full-time) to handle transactions at the checkout and provide excellent customer service at our store in Fonthill, Ontario. The role includes following health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean checkout area. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and store bonuses.

Typical shifts include days and evenings with weekends, totaling 35–40 hours weekly for full-time staff. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a high level of customer service at the checkouts.
• Accurately records customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline and SCOs.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
• Ensuring health and safety policies and guidelines are followed.
• Ensuring the checkout work area is kept clean and organized.
• Ensuring Loss prevention best practices are followed.
• Ensuring compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.
