Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for mixing and serving beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and guests. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.

Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
  • Helps create an engaging work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
  • Informs guests of any daily specials
  • Takes guests orders and makes recommendations
  • Prepares beverages
  • Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
  • Resolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if required
  • Presents bills upon request and taking payments
  • Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks bar when required
  • Covers other bartenders’ sections if required
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate The Following Qualifications

  • People-focused and committed to service excellence
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
  • High School Diploma; Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Bartending and serving experience (preferred)
  • Customer service experience
  • Smart Serve Certificate (required)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
